For the child who works hard but can't crack problem sums once the question changes - and drops the same marks every paper.
Most camps just hope. Ours is aimed: our own students' weekly-test data picks the exact topics costing marks, and we go straight at the hardest problem sums in them. Two mornings for P3-P5 (with a diagnostic of your child's gaps), three afternoons for P6.

Why the holiday matters
The same marks keep slipping away - and the clock is real.
The careless slip on this paper is the same one on the next. The problem sums your child freezes on in P4 are the ones that decide the AL in P6. And a capable child who keeps losing marks slowly stops believing they're any good at maths.
Most holiday camps won't move any of that - they pull jumbled exam papers off the internet, run through a topic an hour, and call it a bootcamp. Plenty done, nothing stuck.
Watch
See what the Holiday Bootcamp is about.
Why most holiday camps don't change anything - and how ours is built differently.
How it works
Most camps hope. This one is aimed.
01
Aimed by real data
Our regular students sit a timed weekly test; weeks of results show which topics cost the most marks at each level - and those are the ones this camp attacks.
02
Hard problem sums only
No mechanical sums your child could do at home, no Olympiad puzzles - only the questions that decide exam marks.
03
Earned, never copied
The teacher works one example, then the timer's on and your child attempts the next alone - they come out feeling they've mastered hard questions, not just watched.
Children stumble in the same predictable places - the topics that cost our cohort marks are the ones costing yours. For P3-P5, the diagnostic then tunes it to your own child on the first morning.
The data behind the aim
We didn't guess the topics. This chose them.
Live concept data from our regular classes. Personal details removed.
Honest, and on your side
The honest friend in your child's corner.
Six hours won't rebuild a year of maths - nobody's camp will, and we won't pretend otherwise. We go deep on the few topics that cost the most marks, not a tour of everything.
Our data engineers the odds; the P3-P5 diagnostic names the gaps - and that map is yours to keep, whether or not you ever come back to us.

A real Formative Minds story
Meet Student E.
In P4, he wasn't one of the strong ones. He'd get pulled out for the remedial class, the one for kids falling behind in school. So we did what we do: found the exact concepts he was missing, and closed them one at a time.

His real 2025 Catholic High prelim paper is on file.
Small-group holiday intensives, aimed by live cohort data at the problem sums that decide exam marks. Every P3-P5 place includes a diagnostic of your child's own gaps.

My son joined Formative Minds at the start of 2024 when he was in Primary 6, and I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact it has had on his learning journey. The structured teachings and comprehensive materials provided helped solidify his understanding of key math concepts essential for the PSLE.
Mr. Tan was exceptional in quickly identifying my son's areas of weakness and placing targeted emphasis on improving them. His engaging teaching style and interactive lessons kept the students motivated and focused, even during challenging sessions. The small class size ensured that each student received ample individual attention, and Mr. Tan made it a point to address my son's unique needs effectively.
One of the standout aspects was the encouraging and supportive atmosphere Mr. Tan created in class. Despite being mentally drained at the end of each lesson, my son looked forward to attending every week, a testament to the positive environment fostered by Mr. Tan. Over time, I noticed significant improvements—not just in my son's ability to tackle challenging math problems but also in his overall confidence and attitude toward the subject.
I also appreciated the tuition centre's use of a parent portal, which gave me clear visibility into the weekly topics covered, his strengths, and his progress. The use of tools and visual aids in class made even abstract concepts more accessible. Furthermore, Mr. Tan was approachable and accommodating, always willing to provide extra support or clarify doubts outside of class hours when needed.
Thanks to Mr. Tan's dedication and sincere efforts, my son went into his PSLE with greater confidence and a stronger grasp of math. I highly recommend this tuition centre to any parent looking for quality and effective math support.

I chanced upon Formative Minds for my child as I was looking for a June holiday two day Math Bootcamp workshop. Before we enrolled, Mr Tan the owner of FM called to understand my child's current learning needs and how the programme could help her. Thereafter we decided to join the weekly sessions leading to PSLE mainly due to these push factors. Mr Tan and Mdm Ho with their utmost sincerity and kindness to help every child excel and also work on their gaps is evident. I am truly grateful for their professionalism, knowledge and attention to details. What made Formative Minds stood out is also their in house data analytics profile of each child, sharing of strategies and regular updates on the child's learning. If you are looking for a centre that has a vested interest in your child's learning, this is place I would personally advocate for. Thank you Mdm Ho and Mr Tan. Deepest appreciation from the bottom of our hearts.

We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional support provided by Mdm Ho, Mr Tan & Mrs Tay for tutoring Dregan and Darwin at Formative Minds.
Their customized tutoring methods, together with detailed learning analytics, have offered invaluable insights into my children's learning needs, allowing timely interventions that significantly enhance their academic results.
The teachers take initiative and effort to analyse their mistakes thoroughly, helping identify whether they stem from carelessness or a lack of understanding. This analytical approach, paired with clear, achievable goals, ensures that Dregan and Darwin not only grasp the concepts but also retain what they learn.
The learning center truly empowers both parents and students to take an active role in their educational journey, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes positive improvement for our children.
Thank you, Formative Minds.

Hi Formative Minds team,
I'd like to share some feedback on behalf of my daughter, Nur Alisyah Esham (P5).
Her Maths tutor and Mr Tan, has been incredibly understanding and patient, especially with students who need extra support. He's able to identify the gaps in their understanding and guide them through their Maths challenges with clarity and care.
Alisyah finds the lessons refreshing and engaging. The recap sessions and weekly short quizzes really help her stay focused and motivated to do her best each week.
She's aware that she didn't perform as well as she hoped in the previous session, but she's determined to improve this time and we truly appreciate Mr Tan's constant encouragement, structured approach, and genuine passion for teaching.
Thank you to the Formative Minds team for creating such a positive and supportive learning environment!
Warm regards,
Zafirah (Parent of Nur Alisyah Esham)

The center's focus on data analytics to assess where exactly my kids are weak in and allowing them focus on specific areas + the bite size testing each week helps them build confidence and show them they are actually capable of doing well in Math.
This is the first time I see my kids actually enjoy going for tuition class and learning. The teachers and their methods of teaching are very encouraging and truly works well for my kids.

The weekly exams help my son, Darren, train consistency. This is so important for AL1. He knows that every week is a chance to prove himself and get his work done properly. It's not just about one final exam, but a marathon. He must keep it up or he will fall behind. It really teaches him discipline which is a skill he needs for life, not just for school.can't thank the teachers enough for this.

Sent both of my kids to the boot camp. Mr Tan has been very patient to share the observations about the kids we sent.
Data analytics on the results- very interesting to read their ability to learn the concepts on the maths and most importantly, allow us to know what is happening to them, while letting the experts do the teaching

Like most P6 students, we were looking for a centre that can help to give our child the extra boost before she sits for her psle. We found Formative Minds and went for one lesson. Mr Tan was really engaging and explain very clearly during the lessons. A dedicated Math teacher. Our child enjoyed the lesson and asked us to send her for the subsequent lessons!

What I like most is their attitude. If everyone in the class doesn't know a particular topic, they don't blame the kids. They will bother to think of a better way to reteach and improve their materials instead of just sweeping the problem under the carpet. This is the sign of a very good center. It shows that they take responsibility for the teaching. I am so impressed with their commitment.

I really like how the teacher explains difficult math concept in a simple way.
When my friends are struggling, I easily breeze through the question.
Ever since joining class, I feel much more confident in solving math problems sums. Even my parents say I'm improving.

My daughter learns a few skills during the boot camp in December holiday. I found out her weakness in the kind of questions that she needed help on. The diagnostic test helps us have a clearer picture of her struggles too.

Questions parents ask.
Your data comes from YOUR students. How does that help MY child?
Every school runs the same MOE syllabus, and children stumble in similar places. Weeks of our timed weekly-test data show which topics cost the most marks at each level - the camp covers exactly those, going deep on their hardest problem sums. For your own child, the P3-P5 diagnostic pinpoints their personal gaps.
What actually happens in the room?
The teacher works an example, then the timer goes on and your child attempts the next question alone - copying solutions off a board looks like learning and isn't. Hard problem sums only: nothing mechanical they could do at home, no Olympiad puzzles.
How is the P6 / PSLE camp different?
Three afternoons instead of two mornings, at SMU, aimed at winning back the 15-30 marks that hard problem sums decide at PSLE. The afternoons are sequenced to build on each other. It's $450 early-bird for all three ($510 after), or $200 per drop-in day - so the full package saves you $150 against three drop-in days.
How much is it, and what's included?
P3-P5: $320 early-bird ($350 after) for both mornings, including the diagnostic and all materials. P6: $450 early-bird ($510 after) for all three afternoons, or $200 per drop-in day. Secure checkout via Classcard - pick your child's level above.
Who teaches, and how big are the classes?
Small groups, taught in person by Formative Minds' own Primary Maths specialists - the same team behind our regular classes and the data that aims this camp. Venues: Novena (Goldhill), Marine Parade (Parkway Parade), and SMU for P6.
My child isn't a Formative Minds student. Will it still fit?
Yes - the topics come from cohort data on the MOE syllabus, which applies to any child at that level, and the P3-P5 diagnostic gives you a clean read on where they actually stand.
Two aimed mornings for P3-P5, three PSLE afternoons for P6 - on the problem sums that decide the marks. Early-bird ends Sun 30 Aug or when seats run out.
